Get involved
Nobody is paid here. Every hour of ice, every clean sheet, and every program happens because somebody in this community raised their hand.
Volunteer at the rink
Four jobs keep the rink open. Training is provided where it is needed, and no experience is expected for any of them. Rink supervisor shifts are posted hour by hour on the volunteer schedule; for the other three, use the form at the bottom of this page.
Rink supervisor
Supervise a public skate slot. Mornings, early afternoons, and weekends are where we need the most help. A brief training gets you ready.
See open shifts and sign upSnow and ice crew
Back-up help clearing the ice after snow. When a storm ends, the faster the sheet is cleared, the sooner skating starts again.
Zamboni and ice care
Back-up drivers and ice maintainers who keep the sheet fast and smooth through the season.
Site fixes
Handy with tools? Small repairs come up at the rink all season, and a back-up fixer is worth a lot.
Serve on the board
Board seats open up from time to time
The board runs everything from programs and fundraising to the capital campaign, and it is always worth introducing yourself before a seat opens. Use the form below to tell us what you would bring, or see who is already on the board.
Give time another way
Money volunteers too. Donations cover the real costs of building and running the rink each season, and as a 501(c)(3) non-profit we provide a gift acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
